There are plenty of Illinois and Missouri residents that could quote a seemingly-infinite number of Will Ferrell lines from his movies, TV shows, and other media appearances with ease. Those fans, though, were likely holding their breath earlier today when news reports scorched across social media that Ferrell was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles.
The wreck involved an SUV that he was in — though he was not the driver — and another vehicle. The crash happened on a freeway and in the aftermath he was taken to the hospital. However, he was not seriously injured and was released shortly thereafter. Three other people were injured in the crash: two of which only suffered minor injuries, but the third suffered serious injuries that left the individual in a trauma center in critical condition.
The crash is still fresh and new, meaning that there are very few details about the nature of the accident. It is under investigation, and details will be few and far between for the foreseeable future.
This story provides a chilling reminder to everyone out there: an accident can happen at any time and to anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity, a professional athlete, an electrician, a stay-at-home mom, a high school student, or a professor. A motor vehicle accident could affect anyone, anywhere. Should an accident impact your life, it is best to know what your next legal steps are.
